East Anglia Car & Van rental specialise in the hire of cars, vans & lorries to the corporate and private sectors. Established in 1999 we are based in Abington, close to Cambridge and within 5 minutes of the M11 and A11 junctions - nearby towns include Haverhill, Saffron Walden, Sawston, Fulbourn, & Newmarket, in the counties of Essex, Suffolk, Herts and Cambridgeshire.
The Terms and Conditions
HIRE EXTENSION: It is important that vehicles are brought back on time. The hire period ends at 8am. We are always happy to extend the hire if we can, but the hirer's must ring before the hire ends.
DRIVING LICENCE: Hirer's must have held a full licence for at least 12 month. On minibuses 5 years. Please check all endorsements with our office when booking as some endorsements are not acceptable. New UK licence is issued in two parts and both must be produced
AGE: We accept drivers aged 25-70yrs with a clean licence. If you are 21-24, 70-74 or have certain endorsements it may still be possible to hire if arranged with the branch prior to pick up.
FUEL: The fuel gauge reading is recorded on your hire contract. We ask you to return with the same fuel, Sorry no refunds.
AVAILABILITY: We make every effort to supply the vehicle ordered, or an acceptable substitute at the time, but cannot accept liability for the consequences of our failure to do so.
INSURANCE: The price quoted includes full and comprehensive insurance purchased separately at time of hiring.
IDENTIFICATION: Will be required besides the licence, credit cards can be acceptable.
PAYMENT: Visa, Access, cheques with cards for hire & deposit at time of hire less any advance payment.
CONTRACT HIRE & LEASING: We can quote of up to 24 months (SEE SPECIAL OFFER).
OPERATORS LICENCE: It is the hirer's responsibility to obtain an Operators Licence, if using 3 Ton vehicles for business.
QUALITY SUPPORT: All vehicles have full breakdown and recovery assistance and in addition we have our own 24 hour emergency number.
VEHICLE RETURN: At most branches vehicles can be dropped off out of hours, please speak to the branch in question.
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS: Are at no extra cost but must complete a proposal form and produce their licence.
CONTINENTAL HIRE: The hire is restricted to the UK mainland and doesn't include Eire or N.Ireland, however we are happy to quote & arrange continental insurance.
ROUTINE CHECKS: Hirer's are responsible for daily checks on oil, water, tyres and lights.
PRICE CHANGES: Management reserve the right to adjust prices without prior notice. Prices may vary between branches. Quotations are only valid for 1 week.
TERMS: Management reserve the right to change any terms and conditions without notice or not comply to the published material if certain circumstances arise.
